My heart! Velvette assuring Vox with stories Val has told her about what Vox will do for him, and why that makes him want something like marriage as he did when he was young... I love how Velvette refused to let Vox shrug off the entire subject. And how he would say something loudly, in front of a store with a wedding ring display, as if drawing more attention with an obviously fake statement would cover anything up.
This is so sweet, but then there is the existence of Badvil, which made me start snickering out loud. Thankfully, I was alone in my room as I read this.
